The Protection Period of the Utility Model
The protection period of a Utility Model is 10 years from the application date.
Holders have to pay the Registration Fee periodically, every year. If the holder misses the deadline, they could apply for compelling reason. If the TPI accepts this reason, provided that paying the fined fee, the utility design will proceed.
